Imaging Systems Technology (IST) is privately held electronics and materials firm founded in 1997. IST is engaged in the research and development novel systems based on Plasma-shell™ technology. Plasma-shells™ are tiny hollow gas encapsulating structures. When voltage is applied across the shell, the gas ionizes into plasma. Imaging Systems Technology is investigating the novel properties of the Plasma-shells™ for use in light sources, sensors, and switches.
